Let Me Introduce Myself
I'm a User Experience Designer from Canada who has been designing products with users in mind since 2015. Most recently I worked remotely as a Front End (UX) Designer for the Digital Design and Innovation branch of the Alberta Government.
I spot problems, things most people never notice – breaks in patterns, holes in logic, unexpected outcomes, and normalized friction points. I see them everywhere, at work, when I travel, or when I'm wandering through the grocery store searching for lemon juice. Whenever and wherever I see them I want to understand why. Why do all external doors in Iceland open inward? Why does a company list six different ways to contact them on their website? My curiosity pushes me to dig until I uncover the root of the problem. That’s when I switch over and become a class act problem solver, but the first part, the discovery phase, that’s what I live for.
If you’re curious and want to know more, feel free to message me on either Behance or LinkedIn, I'd be happy to chat!

“I can comfortably say, that without Cara, the Wood Automotive Group would not have the digital presence it has today. Cara is prompt, energetic and above all, professional. Cara has been able to lead and manage all projects put before her. [...] Cara is a fantastic team player and would be an asset to any organization.”
Daniel | Information Technology Manager | Wood Automotive Group
“Cara and I have worked together for two years. [...] Throughout that time, she consistently demonstrated the highest level of professionalism, ability, and a strong work ethic. Cara has done a tremendous job. The challenges she faced were significant at both the technical and human levels. [...] Cara is innovative and collaborative. “Cara possesses the rare ability to transform a complicated requirement into a simple and enjoyable user experience. While she is a very talented designer, what I appreciated most about Cara was how great she was to work with. In a position where she often had to deal with strong and conflicting opinions, she never took any criticisms personally or acted defensively towards her work. She listened closely to the feedback and responded appropriately. She always maintained a positive attitude and was a pleasure to work with.”
Scott | Project Manager | FamilySearch
“Cara worked and communicated with the team very well. She was respectful of our experience, and listened carefully to our feedback, yet was not afraid to present her own ideas and point of view.”
