Program Redesign
MEDIA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
I was the lead designer of a team tasked to redesign a media management program used to capture and organize digital images. Through usability testing and market research I was able to reduce the user training time from one week down to a few minutes.
I worked closely with the project manager, presented concepts to the rest of the team and used their valuable feedback to strengthen my designs. They helped me know the history of the program, why certain buttons were originally included, and the restrictions of the .NET framework. I was able to combine Windows’ and FamilySearch’s style guides to create an integrated style guide.
